Joe (and Christopher), I got my copy of the Alpha-Shade book on Friday and it's awesome! Truly, you guys are getting everything right - it's a terrific story told with complete believability and coherence, and the art is sensational!
Artwork-wise, did the Flyers evolve more into birds somewhere along the way? I don't know why, but I had some idea they were more dragon-like in their very first appearance, but that's going back a few years now :).
Also, I notice you've changed the colour of the tracer fire in one scene, and also the lettering typeface throughout (definitely an improvement).
Why is North at the bottom of the map?
The colour scheme is exactly right and your characters and scenery are always convincing. Do you do all this on the computer, or do you begin with scanned pictures?
I might try to write a proper review on my Blog a bit later on. Overall, just a perfect book! I love the content and the format, though it's certainly a distressing tale at times.
