A-Kon

Well we just got back from A-Kon. We had a table in the Artists Alley and participated in 8 webcomic related panels with other webcomic artists.

Getting all of our stuff to Dallas was kind of crazy, we took 6 suitcases full of books, our display stuff etc. We barely had room for clothes! After Acen we learned that wheeled suitcases are a godsend and I bought a whole bunch from Target right before we left, they were cheap, and some of the handles broke off, (we were really pushing the limit of weight the things could stand up to) but in the end we wouldn't have been able to do it without them.

Here are some pictures:

JQ behind our table, we had to improvise our set up.

JQ again, That's the Altermeta table behind us ;)

A fan! Buying the Sampler Lite! = 0

It was fun to put faces(And to give the business) to a whole lot of web comic creators that we have known about for a long time. Such as:
Juno from
Star Cross'd Destiny
Xero from
Konsekai Swordwaltzer
Casey from
Altermeta
Eirik and co from
Chisuji
Shivae from
Shivae Studios Webcomics
Omi from
Counter Culture
Josh from Girly
Trish from
Mine's Bigger

The Business guys:

Greg from
Wizzywig
Antarctic Press

And we met some new comic guys as well such as:

Drew from
Halloween Man
J. Grant and Mel Hynes from
Two Lumps
Trunks and Soto And many more.

We will be expanding upon our experiences in our Alpha Rant, be sure to listen ;)

A-Kon was my last big trip for the summer so I'm looking forward to getting back to my regular schedule!
